Is a vegan diet expensive? Plant based eating is as affordable as it is healthy. For example dried black beans are one of the cheapest sources of protein you can find. If you are on a tight budget, stick to the produce and whole foods and skip the convenience and processed foods. The more you are willing to cook, the more money you can save.
